Terms of Service

1. The service

WizeSpend is a personal finance tool for South African users: you upload bank statements, and we organize the transactions into categories, budgets, goals and insights. The service is provided free of charge during early access; we may introduce paid plans later with clear advance notice.

2. Not financial advice

Insights, categorizations, projections and "smart tips" are informational tools generated from your own data. They are not financial, tax, or investment advice, and WizeSpend is not a registered financial services provider. Verify important figures against your bank records before making decisions.

3. Your account and your data

You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials confidential. You confirm that statements you upload are your own or that you are authorised to use them.

Your data remains yours. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You may delete your account and data at any time.

4. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to breach the security of the service, upload malicious files, access other users’ data, or use the service for unlawful purposes. We may suspend accounts that do.

5. Availability & liability

The service is provided "as is" during early access. We work to keep it available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free categorization. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law (including the Consumer Protection Act where applicable), WizeSpend’s liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months — currently zero during early access.

6. Changes & termination

We may update these terms as the product evolves; the effective date below will change and material updates will be announced. You may stop using the service at any time; we may terminate accounts that breach these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
